GIVE US THE STARRY SKY

The customer wished for a lighting solution with low energy consumption and long maintenance intervals when initiating the lighting renovation of the school auditorium. Replacing the old lamps frequently was time-consuming and expensive for the customer due to step-like form of the auditorium. In addition, the customer also requested for pleasant colour of light to avoid high contrast between the auditorium lighting and the rest of the facility.

The original fluorescent luminaires were replaced with Omega 67W luminaires with correlated colour temperature of 4000K. The “starry sky” functionality was preserved on the customer’s request and small original luminaires were retained for that purpose between the new linear luminaires. DALI enabled dimmers allowing adjustment of lighting to the exact luminance level desired. Lighting renovation resulted in remarkably increased amount of light. The colour of the light had also improved. The new lighting solution enabled 78% energy savings, compared to the replaced T10 fluorescent solution.
